Who we are

BoomBoo is a mobile game made by Ziqnal Studio, an independent game developer based in Australia ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the BoomBoo app (package com.zignalstudio.boomboo) collects, why, and what choices you have.

Information we collect

We do not collect information that directly identifies you, such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location. The game does not ask you to create an account.

When you play, the following information is collected automatically through our analytics provider, GameAnalytics:

1. Device and app info
2. Examples: Device model, operating system version, app version, screen size, language
3. Why: Fix bugs and make sure the game runs well on different phones
4. Gameplay events
5. Examples: Levels started, completed or failed, time played, session length, crashes and errors
6. Why: Balance level difficulty and improve the game

8. Examples: A random user ID created by the analytics SDK, and the device's advertising ID where available
9. Why: Count unique players and returning players
10. Approximate region
11. Examples: Country, worked out from your IP address
12. Why: Understand where players are

Your game progress (unlocked levels and settings) is saved only on your device. We do not receive it.

How we use information

1. To understand how players use the game and which levels are too hard or too easy.
2. To find and fix crashes and performance problems.
3. To plan future updates.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third-party services

BoomBoo uses these services, which have their own privacy policies:

GameAnalytics and Google Play may process data on servers outside Australia, including in the European Union and the United States.

Data retention

Analytics data is kept only as long as it's useful for improving the game, and in line with GameAnalytics' retention periods. Data saved on your device is removed when you uninstall the game or clear its app data.

Your choices

1. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads).
2. You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the game.
3. You can ask us to delete analytics data linked to your device by contacting us. Because we don't know who you are, we may ask for your player id.

Children

BoomBoo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data sent to GameAnalytics is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of storing or sending data is completely secure, but we only use reputable providers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the game changes, for example if we add ads, purchases or online features. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. Significant changes will also be noted in the game's release notes.
